One of our most common questions
We are often asked what do I need from an st170 to run the standard engine in another car?
First lets start with the ECU loom and ECU (with the pump controller middle image)
Next from the engine bay fuse box you will want the plug for the IMRC and also the main power plug for the ECU loom.
Then moving onto the dash loom you will want the OBD2 diagnostic port and the PATS ring and connector.
With this you will be able to run the standard ST170 engine in any vehicle. If you are just after a blacktop Zetec you will need exactly the same minus the IMRC plug and there is no fuel pump module.
It’s also important to have the gearbox loom that has the front lambda sensor and the crank sensor wiring on.
